What Are All These Rumors Regarding Apple and RFID About?
The first thing that kicked off these rumors was AppleInsider’s news release that claimed Apple is looking for a test engineer who not only has a Ph.D., but also needs to be very familiar with RFID technology for their iPhone hardware.
Some speculate that the reason for this could be because Apple is trying to come up with an “e-wallet” tool for their next iPhone. In other
words, you’ll be able to use your phone to pay for your purchases at major retail stores. I discussed a few weeks ago that Starbucks has started doing this (“Starbucks: Now You Can Buy Your Latte with Your Phone” http://bit.ly/hvY6FM), but now it seems that more retailers would like to offer this innovative option, which is why Apple would be interested in doing this. I’m not saying that these things could definitely be happening, however, that job offer that I first mentioned, along with another job offer that they are looking for someone to fill in the position of “Manager of Global Payment Platforms” could mean that they are seeking someone who could re-haul their iTunes software to include a payment processing service.
So until these rumors are clarified, we will just have to sit and wait until Apple unleashes the news. Apple is keeping true to their style by keeping the public at the edge of their seats. Hey, it’s obviously a good tactic because they expect to sell TWO MILLION iPhones for Verizon by the end of the quarter- and the phone hasn’t even come out yet!!!

Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused .. Any tips? Thanks a lot!
